The Construction Skilled Worker Pathway (SWAB) Level 2 equips learners with the essential skills, knowledge, and industry understanding required to work confidently in the construction and building sector. The programme includes a recognised Level 2 Certificate in Skills for Working in Construction and a Level 1 Award in Health and Safety, supporting progression to industry employment.
Learners develop practical abilities across one of five skilled routes, including bricklaying, joinery, tiling, carpentry, plastering, painting, plumbing, or electrical fundamentals. The pathway blends core employability units such as career planning, CV building, interview preparation, teamwork, and communication.
The programme also includes a mandatory 30-hour industry placement, enabling learners to gain valuable on-site experience and work towards obtaining the CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card for industry employment.
